“A life long love of texture and textiles and a passion for collecting is evident in my work as a textile artist.
“Taking inspiration from the constantly changing tide line and the flotsam which is washed in daily. I am currently combining beach finds,rust dyed fabric and hand stitching to produce a body of work loosely based on the story ‘A Swiss family Robinson’ and concerned with the idea of The castaway.
“My formal education in textiles began with a City and Guilds Embroidery course followed in 2003 by a Ba.Hons. in Fashion and Textile design at Liverpool John Moores University. I have also studied Sculpture and Ceramics at Wirral Met college and have undertaken a six week Textile Study and Workshop Tour of India.
“My work has been exhibited at The Williamson Art Gallery and I currently run the Explore,Design,Stitch Courses at Shore Cottage studio Thurstaston.
